SGL Nursing College started in 2006 and it is one of the affiliated institute also located in Jalandhar, Punjab. This women only college is incorporated by the Indian Nursing Council (INC) and it provides nursing courses on various categories. Located on a total area of 6 acres, the college has total enrolment capacity of 315 students and employed 89 faculty teachers.

These consist of the following; SGL Nursing College has some facilities that are important for the student’s academic and personal needs. A modern girls hostel is a well-equipped and well finishes hostelry that afford a comfortable place to live and learn good habits and disciplined behavior. The college also has a fully equipped library with a large stocks of nursing, medical and surgery books, magazine and reference materials. Training facilities consist of six functional teaching laboratories in the SGL Nursing College: nutrition laboratory, demonstration laboratory, anatomy laboratory, community health laboratory, microbiology laboratory, computer laboratory. The SGL Nursing College offers a total of 8 courses all of which are full time. The course offered here are a B.Sc Nursing 4 years course GNM 3years course, P.B B .Sc Nursing 2 years course, M.Sc Nursing 2 years course offered in various specialties.

SGL Nursing College has different admissions procedure based on the programme which a candidate wants to pursue. Regarding the Post Basic B.Sc Nursing program, the affiliated university of the college, university conducts entrance exam for students on merit basis.
