Sharad Pawar Dental College and Hospital, Wardha (SPDC Wardha), was established in the year 1991. It is one of the most prestigious dental colleges within the state of Maharashtra and is located in the constituency of Sawangi (Meghe), Wardha district. The college is a constituent spread over a campus of 3.13 acres. SPDC Wardha is approved by the Dental Council of India and offers one undergraduate and eight postgraduate dental programs. The college indeed has a faculty base of 68 members. 

Sharad Pawar Dental College & Hospital (Wardha), established in 1991, is a constituent of Datta Meghe Institute of Medical Sciences (Deemed-to-be University), Nagpur, and is recognised by the Dental Council of India (DCI). This institute has a total of 9 offered programs at the UG and PG levels. Undergraduate course: The Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS), which is a 100-seat course, is considered the backbone of the undergraduate level. During the postgraduate level, SPDC Wardha offers 8 Master of Dental Surgery (MDS) programs extending for 3 years each. These specialised courses include Prosthodontics and Crown and Bridge, Conservative Endodontics, Periodontics, and Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. The approved intake for the postgraduate course is 36 seats, which are further distributed among different specializations. 

The selection process into SPDC Wardha is very demanding and competitive.  Post-graduation requires one to qualify for the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test for MDS (NEET MDS) conducted by the Government of India to get into this post-graduate program. This guarantees that the programs admit only the best and serious of students. The college follows an admission schedule that is set based on the directives of the regulatory bodies, hence the dates might change every year.
