Shardabai Pawar Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences and Research, started in 2019, is one of the reputed institutes for pharmaceutical education in Pune, Maharashtra. This affiliated college is located on a vast land of 15 acres covering a relatively short period of time has emerged as a premier institute dedicated to the quality education in the stream of Pharmacy. Recognised by the Pharmacy Council of India (PCI) and the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), the institute provides two prestigious programmes in pharmaceutical sciences. Presently, it caters to 59 students and has a faculty of 11 members thus allowing the proposed institute to offer the much-needed concentrated preparation to the intending pharmacists.

Shardabai Pawar Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences and Research, Pune is affiliated with the college  Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar Technological University, Lonere. Shardabai Pawar Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences and Research prides in having several modern facilities that are said to facilitate teaching of its students. An impressive library is equipped with core and reference section and student’s information centre helps the students to gather pharmaceutical literature and other research information. It provides separate hostel facilities to the boys and girls independently in order to lend a homely touch to outstation and other far off students. An auditorium supports various academic and cultural activities, and a cafeteria provides food services for the college consumers. Modern practical laboratories provide the foundation of practical learning so that students are able to use practical techniques to conduct pharmaceutical research. In the same line with the company’s goal and vision of students’ Patton development there are provisions for sporting activities with sporting amenities and modern gym facilities for learners .

Shardabai Pawar Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences and Research has two courses in the field of pharmaceutical science. Academic courses offered in the institute are a 2-year Diploma in Pharmacy (D.Pharma) and a four-year Bachelor of Pharmacy (B.Pharma). Each course currently has an approved intake capacity of 60 and thus the authorised set capacity for the two programmes is 120. They are intended to equip students with adequate knowledge and skills prerequisites for practice in this expanding fields of pharmacy.
