This is a higher education college for girls, established in 1982 at Shikaripara, in the district of Dumka in the state of Jharkhand, India. The college is located in a 5.47 acre land and has many undergraduate courses in arts and sciences departments. Having a total of 1,240 students enrolment and 36 members in its faculty, the institution offers the best environment for learning among its students. 

The college has many infrastructures and amenities to enhance student learning as well as their overall development. The campus also has a provision of a library that is well stocked with the knowledge resource center for the students and faculty members. In the case of science students, fundamentally, departmental laboratories give practical experience that is central to their programs. It also has an emphasis on health, with sport facilities also open to use for all college students. First aid facilities: availability of a health center guarantees the welfare of the college community. In order to cope with the present day requirement of education, Shikaripara Mahavidyalaya has also developed very good communication facility. In as much as drinking and snack taking is concerned, the college has a canteen service for both the staff and students.

Shikaripara Mahavidyalaya provides total of 21 courses of undergraduate, all of which are completely regular courses. Depending on scholarships it offers honours and general arts and science degrees to it’s students. They include a wide assortment of academic fields and courses meant to fulfil various goals and desired vocations of the learners in the region.
