Shivalik Ayurvedic Medical College established in the year of 2014 is affiliated college located in Azamgarh (U.P.). This institute is co-educational and it is dedicated to Ayurvedic system of medicine; the Institute offers the under graduate degree course Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine and Surgery (B.A.M.S). CCIM recognizing this college offers its student quality education in traditional Indian medicine. The Shivalik Ayurvedic Medical College is a small college settled on 3.09 acre of land and the college at present has a total of 277 students and 25 faculty members. Currently, the college provides one degree programme only with one specialisation – Ayurvedic medicine, which opposes to the large number of institutions that provide education in this subject. 

Shivalik Ayurvedic Medical College is affiliated with Veer Bahadur Singh Purvanchal University (VBSPU), Jaunpur. Shivalik Ayurvedic Medical College provides various facilities that are intended to help support the student as they learn. A good library has a lot of subscribed Medical journals, magazines and Periodicals to ensure that the students have adequate source of knowledge in their fields of study. It notes that the campus is stocked with modern laboratories to enable students undertake practical experience in addition to the theory. Shivalik Ayurvedic Medical College currently offers one full-time course: These include The Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine and Surgery which will be referred to as BAMS from this point in this text. This extensive course takes six years to complete thereby offering students broad based as well as extensive knowledge on Ayurvedic medicine. This programme which is a constituent of the college has an approved carrying capacity of sixty students; the college’s population is 277 students in total. 

Shivalik Ayurvedic Medical College follows the NEET as the main admission criteria allowing students to seek admission into the Medical College. Botswana Advanced Senior Certificate is the national examination that is compulsory for any candidate intending to join BAMS. A candidate willing to join the college has to score the minimum NEET cut offs as per the norms set by this college. The college adheres to the rules set down in the counselling and the seat allocation procedure of the responsible body. About admission date, while it may differ from one academic year to the other potential applicants are encouraged to follow the NEET examination dates and counselling dates.
