Shivlok Sadhna Kaksh Degree College, Kanpur, was established in the year 2004. It is an affiliated college to the university at Meharban Singh Ka Purwa, Kanpur, Uttar Pradesh. This is a co-ed college as per the norms of the National Council for Teacher Education with undergraduate and postgraduate courses. The faculty strength is 13 members, and it has a total strength of 281 students.

The facilities available at the college are manifold to churn all-round development in the sphere of learning. The college has a library, which is well-stocked and will, therefore, act as the knowledge hub for the students and faculty of the college. One can kill time from tedious academic work by sweating it out on the sports field or vent his or her physical steam in the gym. The IT infrastructure in the institution informs students of emerging and latest happenings in the world of technology. It also has laboratories merely to be used for practical experience and hands-on exposure. Shivlok Sadhna Kaksh Degree College offers 7 full-time programmes in BA, B.Sc, BCom, B.Ed, MA Education, MSc Chemistry and M.Com. Of course many of these would appeal to different academic persuasions and career ambitions. In particular, approved intake for B.Ed. is 100 students.

Admission to the B.Ed. programme would be as per merit, that is, marks acquired by a student at the qualifying examination and/or entrance examination depending on the policy approved by the State Government/U.T.
