Shri Bankey Bihari Institute of Technology, Meerut, came into existence in 2008 as a constituent college on Meerut-Hapur Bypass, Bijli Bamba Road, Meerut, Uttar Pradesh. This institute of great learning offers diverse programmes in the field of engineering to meet the rising demands of the students for excellent technical education. The faculty strength is 96, supported by an environment congenial for academic growth and professional development. As popularly known, SBBIT offers six courses across two degree levels in varied disciplines of engineering to meet the multifarious demands of the ever-changing technological scenario.

The students are given all the facilities which may provide an enriching experience to them. Library facility is facilitated with an suitable stock of books on subjects of all types, hence turned into a knowledge hub for the students. Lab facilities These laboratories are well-equipped with modern apparatus and provide hands-on experience in the various engineering departments. The College Auditorium is a venue for various events, seminars, and enrichment of intellectual discourse and cultural activities. SBBIT has a Health Centre with first-aid facilities to address health and wellness concerns for its family members. Excellent IT infrastructure within the campus keeps students connected and updated with digital learning resources. Games and Sports Facilities: The institute has various sports facilities in order to help students strike a healthy balance between work and leisure. There is a cafeteria that looks after the students' culinary requirements. Facilities of the guest house and waiting room are available for the visitors, thus making the institute very hospitable. Total number of different courses in SBBIT are six and all of these are full time. This is an Affiliated College of Dr APJ Abdul Kalam Technical University, Lucknow.

The courses offered in the institute range from B. Tech courses to Diploma courses in various engineering disciplines. The B. Tech courses take a period of four years while the classes for the Diploma extend for three years. The courses currently on offer include B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science and Engineering, Information Technology, and Electronics and Communication Engineering. The Institute offers courses in Diploma in Mechanical Engineering and Electronics and Communication Engineering. Within this large number of courses, allowance shall be provided for a variety to enable students to choose a particular area of interest and career pursuit in their stream of engineering.
