Shree MS Chauhan Mahavidyalaya, Mainpuri, Uttar Pradesh, is one of the leading institutes, imparting education since 2005. Located in Hari Darshan Nagar close to Sagun Marriage Hall, this college for both boys and girls caters to a wide range of undergraduate and postgraduate programmes. The institute has received the recognition of NCTE – National Council for Teacher Education – and has established its own recognition in higher learning institutions, especially in the field of teacher education. A total student enrolment of 2,595 students makes the college a cocoon of vibrant academic prowess among educationists and scholars. 

Shree MS Chauhan Mahavidyalaya has a range of facilities that are in place in order to help improve the learning environment. Sports lovers will be able to freely indulge themselves, as there are multiple facilities for both indoor and outdoor games along with a state-of-the-art gym facility. The college is well equipped, having a fully functional library containing books, national/international journals and reputed magazines, all the resources meeting the parameters of NCTE. The four computers and a good number of desks also make it comfortable to write papers, and its reading area can accommodate 100 students. To accommodate students’ practical applications of what they learn in class, the college provides departmental laboratories. There is also a language laboratory within the institution, which is important in enhancing the communication skills of the students with the use of sophisticated sound and visual systems.

The College offers a total of five full-time courses, of which four are teacher education courses and one course is in Physical education. The course offerings include three undergraduate programmes: Among these are the Bachelor of Arts (BA), Bachelor of Science (B.Sc), and the Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) and two postgraduate programmes offered at the institution, namely Master of Arts in Education and Master of Arts in English.

The procedures taken whenever admitting students in Shree MS Chauhan Mahavidyalaya are also dependent on the course. In the case of the college’s flagship course B.ED the candidate should have a bachelor's degree (B.A./B.Sc./B.Com.) or master's degree (M.A./M.Sc./M.Com.) from a recognised University under the 10+2+3 pattern. According to the NCTE norms, passing criteria of 50% for the general category and 45% for SC/ST category candidates had to be set as the minimum marks.
