Sri AMM Murugappa Chettiar Research Centre was set up in 1973 in Chennai and is one of premier centre for advanced research in energy and bioenergy. This is an affiliated college located in Taramani, Chennai and has earned a name in scientific research. 

Sri AMM Murugappa Chettiar Research Centre offers a number of infrastructures with the capacity to meet the academic and research needs of the institutions.
