Shri Angalamman College of Engineering and Technology, located at Puliyantoppu, Tiruchirappalli, Tamil Nadu, has been affiliated since 1991. SACET is recognised by the All India Council for Technical Education for a number of disciplines and is spread over a vast 122 acres of land. The institute has five programmes in undergraduate engineering, having a total intake capacity of 212 and has a total of 62 members in its faculty. SACET offers the following specialisations: Computer Science, Mechanical, Electronics & Communication, Electrical & Electronics and Civil. The college focuses on offering technical education and relevant skills in order to equip students for the dynamism that is experienced in the engineering profession.

SACET facilities for physical fitness and recreation are a gym and ample acres of playfields comprising cricket and hockey playfields measuring 2 acres and ball badminton, volleyball, and basketball courts. The college also has developed an information technology resource that comprises about three hundred computers to aid teaching, research and administration.

In all, SACET provides five full-time BE programmes and all of them take a four-year undergraduate course. The institute in total offers 212 approved intakes across all the courses offered. Among the courses are BE in Computer Science and Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electronics & Communication Engineering, Electrical & Electronics Engineering and Civil Engineering. These programmes are intended to equip students with necessary knowledge in their areas of specialisation in engineering with the aim of delivering graduates fit to work in engineering corporations or progress to other levels of studies.

Admissions in Shri Angalamman College of Engineering and Technology are done majorly from the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Main. This examination is a well-known and accepted examination for admissions to first-year undergraduate professional engineering programmes throughout India. To be admitted to SACET, prospective students must meet the qualifying mark set for the JEE Main exam for admissions into the institute. The college also takes into account students’ academic experience in their 10+2 or its equivalent examination with special reference to marks in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics.
