Founded in 1982, Shri Chhatrapati Shivaji Mahavidyalaya, Ahmednagar, is affiliated to Shrigonda, Maharashtra, and spreads across 16.5 acres of land. The institution is accredited by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council, NAAC. This college offers 11 courses across 7 degrees, with a total intake of 1,484 students. There are 33 wholehearted faculty members who lead the college with a respectable student-faculty ratio. Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Mahavidyalaya, with a vision of overall development of students of the rural area, offers 11 full-time courses in Arts, Commerce, and Science: 7 undergraduate programmes, including some of the most popular ones being B.Com, BA, B.Sc, BBA in Computer Applications, and the B.Sc in Computer Science; and 4 postgraduate programmes. At the postgraduate level, the institution offers an MA in History and Economics, M.Sc in Chemistry, and M.Sc in Organic Chemistry. A Ph.D. programme in Chemistry is available to those students seeking higher research. The total intake of students in all courses put together is 1,484, with B.Sc Chemistry offering as many as 120 seats.
