Established in the year 1960, the Shri Guru Ram Rai PG College, Dehradun, is an affiliated college with a sprawling campus of 48.6 acres located in the beautiful city of Dehradun, Uttarakhand. It is a fine institution of higher learning, accredited by the NAAC. With a diverse student body of 2,136 and a faculty strength of 28.

It has various facilities, all of which help make learning an easier process. At the center of academic resources lies a well-stacked library, with a whole-hearted committee to administrate it in terms of replenishing the pile with the most recent publication and e-resources. In interest of the students more oriented towards technology, the college has always been very keen on the up-gradation of its IT infrastructure, comprising two new computer laboratories fitted with the latest systems. Sports enthusiasts will get sufficient scope to pursue their passion for various sports activities as the college regularly participates in inter-collegiate tournaments in various disciplines. The annual sports meet, an important feature of the college calendar, brings out the spirit of healthy competition among the students.

The collegiate experience at SGRR PG College comprises all academic courses with 30 different courses at undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral levels. Most of the courses in the college are on a full-time basis. Definitely, speaking to its popularity—so one would think it should be among upcoming scholars. The structure is very diverse, with 85% undergraduates and 15% postgraduates. This distribution ensures a balanced academic environment, catering to different educational needs and different career aspirations.
