Shri Nathmal Goenka Law College was established in 1956 in Akola, Maharashtra. Currently, this is one of the sought-after centres for imparting legal education. It is an affiliated and approved college by the Bar Council of India and associated with the National Assessment and Accreditation Council. The college operates on a small 2.12-acre campus but still has an enormous student size of 727 students with a faculty of 10 members.

Shri Nathmal Goenka Law College, an affiliated College of Sant Gadge Baba Amravati University, Amravati, offers a gamut of legal education programmes. The college runs seven full-time courses that include both undergrad and postgraduate. The LLB programme, of course, is the flagship programme with an intake of 300 seats each year, while the integrated BA LLB programme offers 60 seats. At postgraduate levels, the college offers specialised LLM courses in Criminal Law, business law, human rights, Constitutional and Administrative law.

Admission at Shri Nathmal Goenka Law College is primarily based on performance in entrance examinations. Admissions to the LLB and BA LLB programmes are based on the MHCET Law, designed for students in Maharashtra at the state level.
