College of Architecture of the Shri Prince Shivaji Maratha Boarding House, Kolhapur was initiated in the Year of 1984 This is a renowned institution for architectural education. Being an affiliated college situated in the city of Kolhapur in Maharashtra, this institution has trained architectural students for over three decades. The college occupies a small area of 7 acres, and has currently 222 students which seems convenient and allows providing sufficient concentration for the students. Currently, the institute has 15 highly qualified faculty members; therefore, the institute is able to provide quality education since every student is easily manageable by a faculty member. The college has only two concentrated specialities in architecture for both the undergraduate and the postgraduate level. 

Shri Prince Shivaji Maratha Boarding House College has equipped itself with a number of facilities that are still considered state of art and would in one way or the other improve on the trend of learning among the student community. The well equipped laboratories afford the students practical experience in light and shade, and the climactic factors that affect architecture. The college has one of the finest library in the region which has a collection of 4000 books, has subscribed to 30 magazines/journals annually addition of 1.5 lakh rupees. The capacity of the auditorium sits 250 student to engage in cultural activities and performances, competition as well as host guest lectures that includes renowned Architects and corresponding field. The college is affiliated to Shivaji University, Kolhapur.

Shri Prince Shivaji Maratha Boarding House's College of Architecture offers two courses: a five year B.Arch programme and a two year M.Arch programme. In terms of the number of students the B.Arch programme only takes forty students, whereas the M.Arch only takes twenty students per year. Both programmes are aimed to give the necessary theoretical background and practical experience in the sphere of architecture. 

The admission procedure of Shri Prince Shivaji Maratha Boarding House’s College of Architecture is through an admitting authority constituted by the Director of Technical Education, Government of Maharashtra. For B.Arch students, one has to take an aptitude test and then the learner has to clear the merit list with marks obtained in 10+2 standard examination and the aptitude test.
