Shri Swami Vivekanand Shikshan Sanstha College of Education, Osmanabad, was established in the year 1960 and is a co-educational college in the state of Maharashtra, India. Shri Swami Vivekanand Shikshan Sanstha College of Education offers two full-time courses under education. The courses in B.Ed are such that they have been designed to take in 50 approved students to train them at secondary and higher secondary levels for teaching professions. Similarly, D.Ed is also a two-year course, which leads to training in primary and elementary education teachers, so both courses have been structured to achieve complete theoretical knowledge and provide practical teaching skills.
The admission procedure at the College of Education by Shri Swami Vivekanand Shikshan Sanstha is held based on scores obtained in the qualifying examination and entrance examination. This, too, is as per the instructions issued by the state government of Maharashtra and the affiliated university. Applicants to the B.Ed. programme ordinarily must be holders of a first degree in any field with a stipulated percentage as agreed upon by the regulating bodies. Eligible applicants to take admissions into the D.Ed programme are generally required to have passed their higher secondary course, that is, 10+2 with the minimum marks for this programme.
