Shri Swami Vivekanand Shikshan Sanstha Mahila Shikshanshastra Mahavidyalaya, Tasgaon, is a college that aims to groom the next-generation teacher. It was established in 1984 and is an affiliate college with Shivaji University, Kolhapur of Maharashtra. The institute has its location in the middle of Tasgaon and covers an area of 0.228 acres. It mainly provides quality education in teaching. It has a total enrolment of 70 students and a faculty strength of 5 for it to offer an intimate learning environment that fosters close interaction between students and teachers.

Shri Swami Vivekanand Shikshan Sanstha Mahila Shikshanshastra Mahavidyalaya is proud of its well-equipped facilities to support the academic and personal development of its students. At the heart of these facilities is the library, a treasure chest of knowledge with a rich collection of books, periodicals, and audiovisual learning resources. The library is air-conditioned and well-furnished, with an attached reading room, and is in use throughout the day to create an ideal ambience for study and research. Among other key assets is the science laboratory, with dedicated sections for Physics, Chemistry, and Biology. This laboratory thus forms an important tool in making science teaching practical for students.

Presently, Shri Swami Vivekanand Shikshan Sanstha Mahila Shikshanshastra Mahavidyalaya is offering one two-year full-time course known as B.Ed. The strength and optimum student ratio justify the efforts made by the college in maintaining good student-teacher ratios.
