Shrimati Shindhutai Jadhav Arts and Science Mahavidyalaya, Mehkar, an affiliated college, was established in 1997 at Mehkar in the state of Maharashtra. Located in an 8.2-acre area, this institution offers seven courses in arts and sciences. The institute aims to deliver quality education in Arts and sciences for the regional requirements of education. 

Shrimati Shindhutai Jadhav Arts and Science Mahavidyalaya, located in Mehkar, Buldhana district, Maharashtra, was established in 1997. The college is affiliated with Sant Gadge Baba Amravati University and focuses on providing education primarily to rural students, especially girls, aiming for their overall development and empowerment.  Shrimati Shindhutai Jadhav Arts and Science Mahavidyalaya has developed a variety of facilities that would improve the experience of students. Its sports facilities meet various athletic needs and concerns and enhance health in line with academics. It houses events and seminars and enhances the lively spirit of the campus. The facility remains a lifeline to research work and learning among scholars. Accommodating practical observations within laboratory classes is important in science classes. This way, the college makes it possible for students to get an excellent performance in the field with modern IT equipment. Eating places are essential in giving students and staff a break time to unwind and interact with one another. For instance, the college provides students with a girls’ hostel that ensures that women and girls from other regions are provided with a safe and comfortable environment in which to live. Another social entity of the given institution is an active Alumni Association, established in 2000-2001, which has been providing support for varied activities of the college ever since. 

Shrimati Shindhutai Jadhav Arts and Science Mahavidyalaya offers seven full-time programmes: Undergraduate degree programs include Bachelor of Arts (BA) and Bachelor of Science (B.Sc), and B.Sc (hons). Each of them takes three years to complete. Both programmes were given a total approved intake of two hundred and forty (240) students, but each programme has been zoned to have one hundred and twenty (120) students only. 

Shrimati Shindhutai Jadhav Arts and Science Mahavidyalaya offers BA and B.Sc courses, and admission to both courses is based on merit. Admission criteria include performance in the qualifying examinations with regard to admission to the institutions. In regard to admission, the college has a well-articulated policy and ethically conducts itself when selecting students to admit to a given course in order to encourage the right understanding of the knowledge they want to acquire.
