SI-MET College of Nursing, Palluruthy, was started in 2009 as an Affiliated College in Kochi, Kerala. This nursing institution is one of the nursing educational institutions that was approved to offer services by the Indian Nursing Council (INC), with specialised education in the field of nursing. Located on a limited piece of land of 4 acres, the college has an overall enrolment of students at 277 and faculty strength of a total 25 members. SI-MET College of Nursing provides two full-time nursing programmes: Four programmes: obtaining the B.Sc Nursing degree and Post Basic B.Sc Nursing for students interested in healthcare.

It is against this backdrop that the SI-MET College of Nursing has made it its task to ensure that they provide the student with appropriate environment in which they can learn. Nursing course offered at SI-MET College of Nursing, Palluruthy consist of two courses and these courses are offered to cater the rising demand of nursing staff. The idea is a four year, full-time B.Sc Nursing programme which commenced from the session of 2009-10 admitting 60 students in a year and a two year, full-time Post B.Sc Nursing, which began from session 2009-10, admitting 30 students in a year. These programmes are designed to give exhaustive theoretical and practical courses deeming necessary for a satisfying nursing carrier. The total enrolment of the college is 277 students which is same as the intake capacity of the college and is a witness to the fact that the college is in high demand offering all the available seats.
