Smt Kandukuri Rajyalakshmi College for Women, Rajamahendravaram was established on September 2, 1968. SKR College for Women was established by Smt. Addepalli Vivekananda Devi, an educationalist and social worker and Sri Krovvidi Lingaraju, a freedom fighter. 

SKR College for Women is affiliated to the Adikavi Nannayya University, Andhra Pradesh. The college is accredited by NAAC with B+ grade. The college follows the rules and regulations of the Government of Andhra Pradesh. 

SKR College for Women offers courses to undergraduate and postgraduate students. The offered courses are BA, BA Hons, B.Com, B.Com Hons., B.Sc, B.Sc. Hons and M.Sc. The college offers Mathematics, Zoology, Botany,Commerce, English, Economics, History and many more specialisations.
