Smt. Lilavati Nandlal Kilachand College of Education, Patan was established in the year 1968, and it is one of the premier teacher training institutions situated in Gujarat, India. The affiliated college is approved by the National Council for Teacher Education and imparts its specialized programs in education. Spread over a sprawling 34 acres, this co-educational institute provides two programs: B.Ed. and D.El.Ed., with a student enrolment of 103 and a faculty strength of 9.

The institution seeks to provide all types of facilities to its students so as to offer them comprehensive learning procedures. Both are two-year programs offering comprehensive training in educational theory and practice. 

The admission process in Smt. Admission is merit-based, depending on the marks secured at the qualifying examination and/or entrance examination. The college follows the guidelines for admission set by the government of Gujarat state and the affiliated university. In the case of the B.Ed. Programme, prospective candidates shall be selected on their entry qualifications and entrance examinations conducted by the selection committee. In like manner, for D.El.Ed. These programs/institutions admit students based on merit list in the qualifying examination or entrance test, according to the policy framed by the State Government or the UT Administration.
