College of education is an affiliated College is situated at Dharwad, Karnataka, and was established in 2005 by Soniya Education Trust. This provides teacher education and is recognised by the National Council for Teacher Education, also known as NCTE. The college is located on a limited piece of real estate, with the campus occupying only 4.923 acres of land and educating students for teaching careers. The college has a total student enrolment of 186 students and total faculty 13, so there is a proper student-faculty ratio and it provides personal attention and quality output.

The college has implemented various facilities that help in the improvement of the academic and personal development of learners. These include hostels for boys and girls to enhance the convenience of students from outstations by providing quality accommodation. Literature interests itself with essential resources needed for training teachers in the capacity of the library. Sports facilities play a very important role in promoting a healthy and team-orientated student population. Soniya Education Trusts College of Education was aimed to deliver quality teacher education and present a Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.). This course is a two-year full course with an approved annual capacity of one hundred students. The B.Ed. programme aims at ensuring that students develop the professional competence that they require for enhanced teaching practice in the complex learning environment. At the moment, the college only has one degree program but it proves a commitment towards the provision of focused and effective teaching in teacher education.
