The Sou Venutai Chavan Polytechnic, Pune was established in the year 1993. The institute is recognised by the Government of Maharashtra. The institute is affiliated to the College of Maharashtra State Board of Technical Education, Mumbai.  The SVCP was approved by the All Indian Council for Technical Education (AICTE). The institute offers diploma courses in various engineering disciplines. SVCP admission to diploma courses is done through the merit based. Interested candidates need to check the SCVP eligibility criteria before applying for the diploma course.     

The SVCP admissions will be based on the previous year academic performance of the previous year.  The institute follows the Centralised Admission Process (CAP) as per the schedule set by DTE Maharashtra.
