Sree Narayana Guru College of Advanced Studies, Chempazhanthy was established in 2013 and the college is affiliated to the University of Thiruvananthapuram ,Kerala. This institution provides various undergraduate and postgraduate programmes in different fields of disciplines. 657 students are admitted in the college and all the students and members of the college management enjoy a favourable atmosphere for learning. The campus is located at Chempazhanthy P.O, Thiruvananthapuram, and the college is fully equipped with liberal facilities and a comfortable environment for learning. As of the moment, there are 8 courses offered in the college across five degree programmes to respond to the students’ academic concern and their desired profession.
As it has been earlier mentioned, Sree Narayana Guru College of Advanced Studies has various facilities which help the student in improving his performance. The library being one of the prominent academic resources has recently been exhibiting a collection of over 350000 books, 5000 of which are added every year. It also maintains the subscription for almost 500 journals, periodicals, and magazines, thus giving a student lots of information on various subjects. To support the digital information needs of the students and the faculty, the library has other resources such as UGC Infonet. All sports lovers will be able to engage in their activities due to the well-maintained colleges standard players’ sporting facilities. Socially, academically and culturally the college auditorium is a very busy place because it hosts a lot of events. The facility also has an effective provision for technical knowledge through its department-wise well-endowed laboratories, which are used for practical purpose. To enable students in the college to suit the new world, the college provides a well equipped computer laboratory so that the students can master the use of advanced technology. Campus cafeteria is a place where students and other members of staff of the institution go to satisfy their hunger, and get a chance to interact with other people in the institution hence improving their togetherness.
Sree Narayana Guru College of Advanced Studies has a total course of only seven courses in which all the courses are full time which includes BA, B.Sc, B.Com, MA, and M.Sc. These range from undergraduate and postgraduate degrees; offering the students a large number of programme options. The college also provides courses in Commerce, Science and Arts streams to encourage student success in different fields of career. The total approved intake for all the courses offered in the faculty is 657, which shows that the faculty is willing to uphold the instructors-students’ optimal ratio for proper learning. Although the college has recently produced few graduates in overall and there is no information available regarding the annual graduates for the latest year, emphasis on quality education shows the successful outcome for the students of this college.
