Sree Narayana Guru Institute of Management Studies (SNGIMS) was nationally accredited and started its educational journey in the year 2008 at Coimbatore in Tamil Nadu. As an affiliated college, this institution provides management education mainly in the MBA business. Located in Rohtak Haryana, SNGIMS has a 3-acre campus, taking ninety-five students in total, and eight faculties. Although young, the institute is set with vision of offering quality management education in an efficient environment. SNGIMS has entrance tests for admitting candidates, which includes CAT, CMAT, MAT, national level exams and the TANCET of the state.

SNGIMS has several amenities which enhance learning among students throughout their time in the institute. The library is an essential source of the institution possessing in excess of three thousand titles in various field of management and affording greater than fifty flagship journals, out of which many are global. The library that is Wi-Fi enabled also allows the students have electronic copies of books and they are in touch with the latest management books. SNGIMS possesses the state of the art facility of computer lab consisting of more than 100 interconnected transparent having fast ethernet LAN connectivity which can comfortably facilitate more than 100 students at a time. The computed centre has air conditioned classroom, and it has a hall that can comfortably accommodate about 300 people for conferences, seminars and college activities such as graduation ceremonies are held in the computed auditorium. In terms of students’ physical health, the institute features sports ground and a gym for members. Boys and girls are able to access hostel facility whereby out station students are able to have a comfortable place to stay.

At present, SNGIMS provides a single top-course academic programme, the MBA programme. This is a two-year full-time postgraduate degree which aims to produce management professionals who have developed broad skills and substantial knowledge in a range of specialised management fields. An annual student enrolment of 95 student indicates that the school’s goal is more streamlined, with personal contact laboratory formulated for each class. It is probable that MBA entails different concentrations in the management field. 

The admission procedure of SNGIMS also include all the necessary steps to choose the students who can do well in management programmes. Several procedures are followed in the selection process of the open and management quota. Applicants are expected to write a Statement of Purpose (SOP), they are expected to be involved in a Group Discussion (GD) and they are assessed based content, communication skills, self-escalation, and group discussion respectively. The last step often includes a Personal Interview as well where the Ability of personal presentation, grooming, non verbal communication, overall awareness level, self confidence and leadership quality are tested. Applicants should have scored 60% or above in MAT/CMAT/CAT. For government quota admissions, the candidates are required to write the Tamil Nadu Common Entrance Test, TANCET organised by Anna University, Chennai. The process is done in the Directorate of Technical Education, Government of Tamil Nadu.
