Sree Siddaganga Institute of Nursing Sciences and Research Centre in Tumkur of Karnataka is one of the reputed organisations providing nursing education. The institute affiliated to Technical University, Nashik has a total strength of 427 students and 23 faculties thus offering a niche learning environment. It has 8 courses at 3 levels of degrees in various fields of specialisation of nursing namely; medical surgical nursing, community health nursing, pediatric, obstetrics and gynecological nursing, psychiatric nursing.

The institute offers eight full-time courses as under: Undergraduate, Postgraduate, Diploma etc. In the undergraduate level, the B.Sc Nursing seats 60 students per session, the Post Basic B.Sc Nursing offers 40 students intake per session. The institute also has 60 seats of General Nursing and Midwifery (GNM) diploma programme . At postgraduate level there are different M.Sc Nursing specialities and the intake of these programmes is five students. Some of these are Medical Surgical Nursing, Community Health Nursing, Paediatric Nursing, Obstretric and Gynaecological Nursing and Psychiatric Nursing. Total student utilisation in all programmes is 427 to underscore the institute’s emphasis on offering quality in small numbers.
