Sri Belimatha Mahasamsthana Institute of Technology was established in the year 1975 at Nelamangala, Bangalore, Karnataka. It is a co-educational engineering institution and was established and recognised by the All India Council for Technical Education. The institution has groomed the future engineers of the coming generation almost for five decades now. The institute is located along the NH4 Bypass and offers an ideal environment for understanding and all-round development. The institute provides quality education in various engineering disciplines through a strength of 28 dedicated professionals.

The institute has a general list of engineering programmes that are all fully in nature. SBMSIT currently offers four different B.Tech programmes, all of which take four years to complete.
