Sri Belimatha Mahasamsthana Institute of Technology (SBMSIT) is one of the reputed well-established established engineering institutions since 1975 and located in Karnataka, Bangalore, Nelamagala, where SBMSIT carries a number of engineering programs offered by the institution at the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE). Admission process is laid by the institute to have the right candidate for an engineering program. Normally admissions for any academic year at SBMSIT are held during the months of August to September. Candidates are selected on the basis of entrance exam scores and academic records.  The candidates must have cleared 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics as main subjects to apply for B.Tech programs. There are four B.Tech courses available at the institute, each having a capacity of 60 students: Electronics and Communication Engineering; Computer Science; and Information Science; and Mechanical Engineering.

Degree wise Admission Process.

SBMSIT offers four B.Tech courses of four years each and a maximum capacity of 60 seats in each of them. The admissions are strictly conducted with appropriate marks in both the entrance examinations and academic performance. B.Tech candidates must have completed their 10+2 education having undertaken core subjects of Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics.

1. B.Tech Electronics and Communication Engineering: The program focuses on electronic systems and communication technologies, and admission is based on the performance of an applicant in aspects like relevant entrance exams and 10+2 results.
2. B.Tech in Computer Science: The bachelor program that covers all aspects of computer science and computer programming. The admission process examines academic records in the relevant subjects and as well as the students performance in entrance examinations.
3. B.Tech Information Science: This program encompasses information systems and technologies, while entrance exam and previous academic achievements are the criteria bases for selection.
4. B.Tech Mechanical Engineering: The course principles cover mechanics and manufacturing. The admission process is based on the marks obtained in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics during entrance exams.
