Sri Lakshmi College of Education; Jayankondam Institution was established in the year 2006 located at Ariyalur of Tamil Nadu is one of the leading educational institutions in teacher training courses. This is a co-educational college; it is a constituent college recognised by the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE). Currently located on a 1-acre piece of land, the college only has two degree specialization areas in education. Thus, Sri Lakshmi College of Education has a small number of enrollment and faculty members, There are 271 students in total and 21 faculty members. Through its B.Ed and M.Ed programmes the institution is preparing professional teachers to meet the growing demands of the school system.

Sri Lakshmi College of Education offers two full-time courses: Two programme is Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) and Master of Education (M.Ed). They last for two years and tally with the institution’s goal of producing highly trained teachers. The knot of the college programme is the B.Ed having an approved annual intake capacity of 200 seats. For those students who are interested in further education, there is provision of 50 seats in M.Ed programme. These programmes are intended to prepare professional to provide students with competencies that they need in teaching as well as to manage educational systems.
