Sri Sangameshwara Government Polytechnic, Zaheerabad, is the oldest polytechnic of telangana come into existence in the year of 1979 and situated at Ranjole, Zaheerabad, Telangana. AICTE-affiliated This affiliated college offers numerous engineering diploma courses to make Mechanical, Civil, Electrical Electronics, Computer Science Engineering etc. Strategically located over 29.16 acres of land, the institute accommodates a total of 992 students and 20 faculty members. Given its technical training angle, the polytechnic offers four differentiated courses, though all under one degree programme, and they are all engineering inclined.

Sri Sangameshwara Government Polytechnic rather boasts of providing a range of service amenities to support students’s education processes. Among the infrastructure problems, the campus provides the hostel facility separately for boys as well as for girls for the out-station students to live comfortably. A well-stocked library is a knowledge centre whereby all students have access to any resource required to undertake their academics. The polytechnic also has a number of well-equipped laboratories for each of the departments to enable student practice and exposure to the practical side of their respective areas of speciality. In order to equip the students as per the needs of the present era, the institute has provided good and efficient computers and Internet facilities so that they can easily connect themselves with the World Wide Web. If a person loves exercise, the campus has built sports facilities and a gym that foster both mental and physical health.

There are four full-time diploma courses, each with a two-year duration, being offered at Sri Sangameshwara Government Polytechnic across various engineering branches. The college offers Civil Engineering, Automobile Engineering,  Electrical and Electronics Engineering and Mechanical Engineering. Such programmes are developed to equip students with procedural information and best practice competencies. The institute has an overall approved student intake capacity of 992 for all its programmes thereby proffering its capability to produce a large number of engineers in the future.
