St. Antony’s College, Peerumade which was started in 2013 is an affiliated college placed in Idukki district of Kerala State. Located in a beautiful 7 acre of landscape, this institution has emerged in the recent past as an important seat of learning in the region. Spread across 7 degree programmes, the college teaching syllabuses 11 courses to a student population of 646 learners. There are 36 faculties in St. Antony’s college, which is highly committed to the students and aim in providing equal attention to all students , thus has a good student-teacher ratio. The college offers major streams such as Commerce, Computer Applications, English, Business Administration, Mathematics and an off beat course called Cyber Forensics.
St. Antony’s College has made available various form of facilities that are twentieth century to improve on the way students learn. In any academic resources, therefore, there is the improved library which has expanded a lot in size since its establishment. With collection of more than 7500 books, 10 journals, 17 magazines and 12 newspapers the library is fully computerised with bar coded books to maintain proper flow. The N-LIST programme serves students and faculty by giving them access to a wide array of e-materials; 199500 e-books and 6000 e-journals. The IT infrastructure is also outstanding; there is a computerised laboratory fitted with internet connection and a wireless facility in the institution. Extra curricula activities and event are facilitated by a spacious auditorium, while the college provides a canteen for the preparation of foods for the college community.
At present, the axes of development are concentrated on undergraduate and postgraduate programmes, and St. Antony’s College is equipped with an extensive list of them. The institution offers 11 full-time courses such as B.Com in different specialisations, BCA, BBA, BA English, B.Sc Mathematics, B.Sc Cyber Forensic, and M.Com Finance Taxation etc. These programmes are developed to provide best theoretical information and train skills which can create effective professionals in chosen occupations. This total student intake was determined to be 646 students, proving the college’s dedication for preserving a favourable learning capacity class. College Infrastructure
Great quality of classrooms, libraries, labs and recreational spaces. All these enhance the learning experience. All these contribute to a holistic student experience. Overall maintenance of all thee is very good.
