St Antonys College, Peerumade Facilities Details: Hostel, Campus, Infrastructure, Library, Canteen

• St Antony’s College library started in 2013 at that time only 1185 books were available there, gradually our library became developed and now our library is computerized with 7542 books 10 journals 17 magazines and 12 newspapers. The library has been modernized with IT-aided learning and accessibility. Books are bar-coded and the issue & return of books are computerized
• SAC Library is registered for the N-LIST programme, which is an initiative of the Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD) under the National Mission on Education through ICT. The authorized users from the college can access e-resources and download articles required by them directly from the publisher’s website once they are duly authenticated as authorized users through servers deployed at the INFLIBNET Centre. Through the NLIST programme students and faculty of our college can access more than 1,99,500 e-books and more than 6000 e-journals anywhere at any time.

SAC has a well-furnished computer lab with high-speed internet which helps us greatly in doing any research work. The lab houses more than 20 computers and the computers in the lab have the recent versions of the software as prescribed by MG University according to the revised CBCS syllabus. The campus is Wi-Fi enabled. All the systems in the computer lab are loaded with Microsoft Windows 7 and Linux operating systems. The practical classes in computer studies are held in the computer lab. The lab is completely air-conditioned

The college has a canteen facility for staff and students. For the provision of Savory and quality food at a reasonable price, a Canteen is functioning efficiently inside the College

The college has an auditorium facility for events and seminars.

The college has a Wi-Fi facility for the students and staff.

The college has good networking for the alumni association.

Only students who are on the rolls of the college alone will be permitted to reside in the hostel. The warden shall be the sole authority in the management and day-to-day administration of the hostel. The College provides a hostel facility for girls under the supervision of sisters at FCC Girls Hostel Peruvanthanam, MMT Hospital Nursing College. 

The college has a health center with a first aid facility for the students.

The college has a boys’ hostel facility which provides good hostel accommodation for the students. Hostel facilities for boys are outside the campus.

The college operates with a fleet of 6 college buses for the students and staff of the college. All safety measures have been implemented for the safe journey of the passengers.

The primary objective of the college placement cell is to place all eligible students in reputed companies, right at the campus itself. Placement cells help identify the knowledge, skills, and attitude matrices of the students coming from all walks of life and create job profiles for each of them to get them placed in relevant profiles with reputed companies. These placement cells recognize the areas of training and methods concerning the requirements of the industry and thus formulate a sequence of training activities to meet the requirements for campus placement. Campus placements provide the students with a foot-in-the-door opportunity, enabling them to start their careers right after they have completed their course curriculum. Furthermore, they get to interact and engage with industry professionals during the placement drives, which further help lay a foundation for their prospective careers in the future as they familiarize themselves with potential contacts from their chosen career field.
