St. John Institute of Pharmacy and Research, Palghar, was established in the year 2008 as one of the main prime institutions for pharmacy education in the state of Maharashtra. The institute is spread over 14 acres and is an affiliated college accredited by NAAC and approved by PCI. The institute offers a vast array of programs in the streams of pharmacy, with 3 degrees and 6 courses. The student enrolment of the institution is about 537. The faculty strength is 18. 

The Institute ensures that students are furnished with the most advanced facilities to enrich their learning experience. It has 11 modern, state-of-the-art infrastructure-based laboratories with hands-on experience in respective subjects. The library of SJIPR is a source of vast knowledge since it has more than 9,315 books and 1,258 titles. SJIPR offers a rich collection of programs in the pharmacy domain, like B.Pharma, D. Pharma, and some M. Pharma specialisations in areas such as pharmaceutical chemistry, pharmacology, pharmaceutical quality assurance, and pharmaceutics. 

The admission process at SJIPR is mainly based on merit. For the B. Pharma course, candidates are admitted considering their performance in entrance examinations relevant to the course, coupled with their academic record.
