St. Joseph’s College of Commerce has designed the BBA (Professional-Finance and Accountancy) programme in collaboration with the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA).

CIMA is the world’s leading and largest professional body of management accountants. BBA integrated with CGMA Finance Leadership Program is a digital-first learning program is similar in scope and rigor to a master’s degree. Students will learn the finance, business, digital, people and leadership skills that employers are looking for, today and in the future. The programme not only offers a thirteen-paper exemption from the regular CIMA papers but also gives an opportunity to students to gain qualifications like, Diploma in Management Accounting and Advanced Diploma in Management Accounting as they pursue this program. The four-year BBA (Professional-Finance and Accountancy) programme follows the NEP programme structure as specified by the Government of Karnataka. In this programme by the end of the fourth year, the student can successfully emerge as a Qualified Chartered Global Management Accountant.

Eligibility Criteria

It is mandatory for all candidates seeking admission to the 1st year of the degree programme to have successfully completed 12 years of schooling through an examination conducted by a Board/University. Mandatory eligibility for the Programme is a pass at the +2 level (ISC/CBSE/ other state boards/International Board/Karnataka PU Board) in any stream of Commerce or Science with a minimum of 60%.

Admission Details

Entrance Examination (Round 1 & Round 2)
The Entrance Examination for the Bachelor of Business Administration - (Entrepreneurship) Programme will be conducted in the online mode in two sessions. The first session of entrance examination (Round 1 & Round 2) is scheduled in the month of April, 2022 and the second session of entrance examination (Round 1 & Round 2) in the month of May, 2022.

Round 1: St. Joseph's Management Aptitude Test (SMAT)
The candidates will be tested in the areas of Communicative Skills in English and Grammar, Quantitative Aptitude, Data Interpretation and Numerical ability, Logical Reasoning, General Knowledge, Current Affairs, Finance, Advanced Accountancy, Economics and Management. The entrance exam paper will be for 60 marks consisting of 60 multiple choice questions (MCQs) for one mark each. The examination will be for a duration of one hour.

SMAT Question Paper Pattern:
Section A: Communicative Skills in English and Grammar
Section B: Quantitative Aptitude, Numerical Ability, Logical Reasoning and Data Interpretation
Section C: General Knowledge and Current Affairs
Section D: Aptitude for Management, Finance, Advanced Accountancy and Economics

Guidelines:
• Each section will consist of 15 questions
• All questions are compulsory
• There will be no negative marking
