St. Thomas College of Arts and Science (STCAS), Chennai, is also recognised for providing quality education to its students from the academic year 1999 – 2000. This is a co-educational, affiliated college offers numerous undergraduate and postgraduate programmes in many fields of study. Located on a rather small 3.883 acre site, the college has expanded to welcome a large number of learners of 5,195, of which 97 percent are undergraduates and 3 percent postgraduate learners. The institution employs faculty of 169 members which allows for a better student teacher ratio in terms of quality education.

STCAS offers a range of learning amenities to facilitate the education process of the learners enroled with the college. The AV aided library is a centre of learning resources including books and digital copies for teaching aid, borrowing and reference.
