St Xavier’s College, Ahmedabad was established in 1955 as a Jesuit College. It provides quality education to students and gained autonomous status from the UGC. St Xavier's College, Ahmedabad received an A+ grade in the 4th cycle of accreditation by NAAC in 2022 and has been recognised as a "College with Potential for Excellence" since 2006.

The college is affiliated with Gujarat University, Ahmedabad. SXCA offers Government-aided and self-financed programmes in Arts, Science, Commerce, and Computer Science. College is good in terms of infrastructure, the library has books of almost all whats needed. The eLibrary functions are also great!. Sports facilities are good, competitions are held in respective fields.

College building are descent. All the classrooms are well maintained. College campus is fully of ac and Wi-Fi. Library provides study environment and books are available of indian and foreign authors.

Infrastructure of the college is well maintained. Library is quite peaceful and full of various books of renowned authors. College playground is really good. The canteen of college provide many popular dishes. There's a well maintained auditorium in college, where many programs are organised.

Students who wants to take admission in this college should have a good score in intermediate science stream with at least 55% marks.
Candidates who are from ST and SC category offer admission in relaxation they get some reserved seats.
Admission in b. sc. is based on the Merit in the qualifying examination. Candidates must have passed 10+2 in the science stream.
Cutoff is 75% for General Category students and
65% for ST and
60% for SC Students.
