    The State Council of Educational Research and Training (SCERT) is an eminent organization established in New Delhi means for educational research and training and teachers education. Set up in 1988, SCERT New Delhi is based in the National Capital Territory of India and at Varun Marg, Defence Colony. This is a Government college affiliated to the University and has received accreditation from the National Council for Teacher Education, N.C.T.E as a testimony to its achievements in raising the standards of education. SCERT New Delhi occupies a small area of 3 acres hence adequate physical space is provided for its students to learn without much interruptions.

    New Delhi State Council of Educational Research and Training has been equipped with various infrastructures that serve to facilitate and improve students education systems. The campus boasts a preserved library and students receive a number of educational sources and literature. Those who wish to have an active body, there are sporting amenities that can be used which ensures the provision of both the body and intellect. There is also an auditorium in the college which acts as a hall for variety of occasions, meetings, seminars, etc. As a result of that, SCERT New Delhi is outfitted with excellent IT infrastructure that favour modern technological facilities for students. The campus also has featured specialists laboratories, that enable applied, practical, face to face learning. To satisfy the needs and provides comfort for the students and staff, there is a cafeteria available. Also, this college has three kinds of health centres which contain the first aid facilities for the health concern of all members of the college community.

    As per the course offered academic, SCERT New Delhi mainly works for teacher education. The institution currently offers one main course: a B. Ed programme; This is a two-year full course meant for trainee teachers to arm them with knowledge to enable them teach in schools. The B.Ed programme offered by SCERT New Delhi has an intake capacity of one hundred which has been approved; this ensures quality education involving limiting of number of students admitted to class to allow for quality service delivery.
