SIHM Dharamshala or State Institute of Hotel Management, Dharamshala, is one of the prestigious and fastest growing hospitality management institutions. This government institution was founded in 2012 in Dharamshala, Himachal Pradesh. Located across the 3.95 acres of area, SIHM Dharamshala is providing various number of courses in the field of hotel management and hospitality. The institute is staffed with 7 highly qualified members of the faculty, all with professional practical experience. The programmes offered at SIHM Dharamshala is six courses ranging from 2 degree type to cater the all aspect of the Hospitality Industry right from Food Production to Front Office and to Cleaning.
At the theoretical level, SIHM Dharamshala aims at providing quality facilities in learning to students. The institute has adequate resource facilities such as a library which contains books, journals and periodicals to enable the students keep abreast with the current development. It offers one undergraduate programme along with five diploma courses, and all the programmes offered are full-time. The B.Sc Hospitality and Hotel Administration takes three years to complete whilst the diploma programs are two years each. These diploma programmes include Food Production, Food and Beverage Service, Bakery and Confectionery, Front Office Operations, and Housekeeping.
