Sundarban Hazi Desarat College was established in 1961, an affiliated college of South 24 Parganas which is a rural area. It is accredited by National Assessment and Accreditation Council. This college offers several undergraduate courses. The campus of this college is 11.2 acres, with a total strength of 1,931 students, 59% female, and 41% males.

It attempts to build an integral learning campus environment as it has been strengthening the facilities, which aid students in all-round development.
