Sundargarh Engineering College is an affiliated college that was established in the year 2007 in Sundargarh of Odisha state. This college with its 10.39 acre land has various engineering courses for the future technologies. All India Council for Technical Education approves SEC hence making it conform to the national standards in education. It is a co-educational college at present and it has its own features of small scale education system with 389 students enrolment and 16 faculty members. SEC has the B.Tech programmes. These programmes provide students with modern education that favour all their engineering disciplines.

Sundargarh Engineering Collegehas many amenities to improve student’s life. Favourable living in boys and girls hostels with ultra modem amenities and accommodation managed by full time superintendents and wardens, give a homely environment to the student’s hostel residents. The chemistry of education libraries puts this essential part of a school library into resourcefulness as they possessing over 12000 texts and reference books that assist learners in their academic endeavors. SEC embraces technological development since it has well equipped over computerised labs complete with internet facilities. The college has also modern designed laboratories in Physics, Chemistry, and various specialised engineering fields that help the students with the real life transition from theories. All the students who commute to other parts of the city can be provided with transport facilities at a reasonable rate to allow the day scholars enjoy education at SEC.

Sundargarh Engineering College has four complete four-year B.Tech courses offered in full time basis. These programmes are implemented in different fields of engineering, and allow students to receive profound technical training. For all the courses put together, the college is approved to take 210 students and the capacity shown that the institution is able to train a large number of engineering students every year.

The admission procedure is the same as other engineering Colleges in Odisha and is purely based on the score of JEE Main. As stated earlier this examination is conducted on a national level and it is pre-requisites for any fresh intending engineer to enroll in the college. The admission procedure for all the courses strictly follow the laid down norms and guidelines as prescribed in the directives of the DTE & T as well as the admission control authority of the state of Orissa for the present academic session are entertained.
