About Surana College, Bangalore
Surana Institute in Bangalore, Karnataka, was started in the year 1995 and is located at the centre of Bangalore city. Located on an area of 1.188 acres, this affiliated college has gained accreditation from the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) and approval from the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE). The college has a large enrolment of two thousand one hundred and fifteen students and employs seventy-five faculty members, and has fourteen programmes offered under ten different courses. The institute has fifty-nine per cent of the male students, 41 per cent female students, undergraduate 73 per cent and postgraduate 27 per cent.
Surana College is an affiliated institution, recognised by Bangalore City University, Karnataka. Surana College, therefore, has the vision to be an institution that provides world-class facilities that would help the students in their learning. The college library has a rich collection of over 26000 books, 33 journals and/in addition, the students and faculty have access to a large number of E-resources through NLIST/INFLIBNET e-consortium. The students get learning advantages from department-based laboratories, a spacious hall for departmental occasions and seminars, and a canteen where learners can get snacks. It has hostels and a canteen, a playground and gym and well-equipped computer lab and internet connection that support the academic and co-curricular activities. Availability of first aid facilities at the health centre promotes the provision of students and staff.
The institute comprises 8 undergraduate and 6 postgraduate programmes across academic disciplines. Some of such programmes are BA in History, Economics and Political Science, BA in Journalism, History and Tourism, BBA, BCA, B.Com, MBA, MCA and M.Com. It also offers research opportunities in Ph.D. courses in Psychology and Management in the college. Although taking an average of 2,115 students in all offered courses, Surana College has adopted good quality education and an emphasis on experiential learning.

The admission procedure at Surana College is rigid that varies according to the programmes offered by the institutions. In case of undergraduate programmes, students are generally selected depending on their performance in 10+2 public examination. The MBA programme provides an option of having scores of national level tests like CAT/ MAT/ CMAT/ KMAT/ Karnataka PGCET. The Government of Karnataka conducts a test known as PGCET for the admission of candidates to MCA for the government quota seats While candidates can apply for the MCA programme through the management quota by appearing for college level test, national level test or the KMAT test. The college infrastructure is very good . The college management offers the hostels for the both boys and girls in the college . We have all the required facilities in the college campus and also the canteen facility .

it was a good campus infrastructure even tough the campus was small they gave us the required facilities. They even have a well maintained and healthy canteen. there auditorium was really very excellent. They also used smartboard in every classes.
