Surya School of Management Studies, Villupuram, was started in the year 2009, affiliated with a university and is located in Villupuram district of Tamil Nadu, India. This is a co-educational college which is recognised by AI,CTE and is spread across a vast 70 acres offering management courses. The institute has a faculty team of 117 members and offers the best education to the future leaders of business organisations. Surya School of Management Studies follows MBA programme educating well –rounded professionals to face tough corporate world ahead.

Surya School of Management Studies also has a number of amenities that some makes sure that the facility to be conducive in providing education to its students. The hostel facilities which are in place are for both male and female students with an accommodation capacity of five hundred each. The hostels serve both veg and non-veg food and the mess charges are also paid annually. A 450 square meter fully equipped library has over 6000 numbers and 1050 titles on various fields of management studies. It also opens up e-resources and it even gets dailies and weeklies in business circles. In physical fitness, the college provides players rooms outside and inside playing field of cricket, volleyball, basketball, chess, TT table. At the moment, Surya School of Management Studies is providing only one full- time post graduate programme namely the Masters in Business Administration (MBA). The course is a two-year course with an approved student intake of 60 per academic year. MBA programme aims at preparing students to acquire the relevant knowledge and skills they would require in their different management positions. 

TANCET is used as criterion for admission to MBA programme in Surya School of Management Studies. This state level entrance examination is compulsory for students who seek admission to the management programmes in several colleges of Tamil Nadu. The institute has also embraced TANCET scores in order to maintain a set of competent criteria for deserving candidates applying for management education at Surya School of Management Studies.
