Existence of Susila College of Education was established in the year 2008 and is a teacher training college situated in Villupuram, Tamil Nadu. This is a co-educational institute which comes under the Tamil Nadu Teachers Education University and the premise is committed to produce future teachers. Situated in a limited area of 1.4 acres, it strives to provide the four-year duration Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) programme which is recognised by the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE). Susila College of Education offers education on training teachers with total intake of 187 students and faculties of 16 members.

Susila College of Education has instituted several amenities that would complement the learning process of the learners. A well equipped library is a centre of reference and collection of academic resources and references. There is also provided the accommodation for departmental laboratories and work places which is imperative for training teachers. The college upholds good standard information technology due to current trends in education practices. Selection to various courses is based on the marks that students have scored in the qualifying examination and/or any entrance examination.
