Affiliated college in Birbhum, West Bengal, Swami Vivekananda University College of Education, Mayureswar, was set up in the year 2013. This college is co-educational and NCTE-approved, focusing on teacher education courses. Located on only 1.02 acres of land, the college teaches four different courses, for which it recruits 500 students in total. The main teaching staff consists of 18 teachers, which allows the institute to keep a rather low student-to-teacher ratio. Swami Vivekananda Universal College of Education (SVUCE) is a private, co-educational teacher training institution established in 2013. Located in Krishnanagar, Birbhum, West Bengal, it is affiliated with Burdwan University, Kolkata and recognised by the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE). Swami Vivekananda Universal College of Education also aims to have and maintain an environment suitable for the college’s students. There are in total four programmes offered at Swami Vivekananda Universal College of Education, all of which have been designed to cater to the needs of potential teacher trainees. There are B..d, D.EI.Ed. BA.B.Ed Integrated, and B.Sc B.Ed.Integrated courses are offered by the institution. These courses are meant to prepare students for undergraduate teaching practice to enable them to practise as professional teachers. The total sanctioned intake approved for each course is 50. The college has the capacity to accept five hundred students to be trained as quality educators each year.

This college follows a merit system based on marks scored in the qualifying examination as well as in the entrance examination, if any. For the B.Ed. and D.El.In Ed programmes, the admission process is in line with the rules and regulations of the state government and the university to which it is affiliated. The process may require other selection criteria as would be specified by the authorities.
