Swami Yogananda Giri College, Kokrajhar, is an affiliated college, situated in Kokrajhar, Assam, and  was established in 1994. This co-educational college is located on a 5 acre of land. The college offers undergraduate programmes to 756 student enrolees. The college has a 16 member faculty strength and offers 5 courses in two degree programmes. Being an Arts and Humanities institution, it has an orientation of providing quality education in subject areas such as English, Assamese, Economics and Political Science and so on. 

To support its students, Swami Yogananda Giri College will make sure that the environment in which learning is to take place is effective to support the learning. It has a rich library with over 10000 books being procured both in text and reference as well as general books. The library also purchases current journals, periodicals, and newspapers and has an attached reading room for students and teachers. There is also a modern RCC Girls’ Hostel within the college campus itself but this is financed by the UGC 12th Plan Grant. RCC Indoor Stadium is available containing badminton, carom and exercising hall. The college also has an auditorium to accommodate event and seminars, a canteen, and an active alumni association after the students serve their college terms. This is an Affiliated College of Bodoland University, Rangalikhata.

Swami Yogananda Giri College teaches five full time undergraduate programmes in total. These are the BA (Honours) in English, Assamese, Economics & Political Science, the General BA programme. All our courses are structured as 3 year full-time programmes that equip students with broad specialised knowledge in their areas of specialisation.
