Tilak Ram Saini Girls Degree College, Saharanpur, till now, the history of the college speaks that it has been providing quality education to girls. The college provides undergraduate and postgraduate degrees in arts, sciences, and commerce and teacher education. The college adopts a fair and transparent admission process to recruit deserving students in different disciplines.

For most undergraduate programs, a student has to complete 10+2 or equivalent from a recognized board. For a master’s degree, they should have passed their bachelor's degree in the relevant discipline.

The college is recognized by the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE), which is most relevant for students who are completing B.Ed or D.El.Ed.

Application Process

1. Notice of admissions: Admissions are announced through the homepage of the college and in local newspapers.

2. Application form: Candidates may take additional forms online or in person from the college admission office.

3. Submission of Documents: Placements should be given for submission along with:

   • Mark sheets and certificates of 10th and 12th

   • Transfer certificate

   • Character certificate

   • Caste certificate (if applicable)

   • Passport-sized photos

4. Entrance/Merit list: For B.D. and D.I.Ed. and some other courses, admission is based on merit or entrance examinations adhering to government/university guidelines.

5. Counseling and Verification of Documents: A shortlist is formed, and verification of documents is done to confirm the authenticity of the students and provide assistance with the selection of courses.

6. Payment of Fees: Students need to confirm his/her admission by payment of fees before the date of formation.

Degree-wise Admission Process

• B.A. (Bachelor of Arts): Admission for any student having 10+2 or equivalent in any stream. Subject combinations are offered in multiple streams.

• B.Sc. (Bachelor of Science): 10+2 with Science (Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Math). B.Sc. is Available in Math, Physics, Chemistry, Zoology, Botany.

• B.Com. (Bachelor of Commerce): Admission requires 10+2 in Commerce or equivalent. The intake is 60 students.

• B.Ed. (Bachelor of Education): Graduation with minimum 50% marks. Admission criteria based on qualifying marks and/or entrance test as per government/university norms.

• B.Lib.Sc. (Bachelor of Library Science): Graduation in any stream with at least 50% marks.

• D.El.Ed. (Diploma in Elementary Education): 10+2 with minimum 50% marks. The intake is 50 students.

• M.A. (Master of Arts): Offered in Drawing and Home Science. A relevant bachelor’s degree is needed.

• M.Com. (Master of Commerce): Usually B.Com or equivalent is required.

• M.Sc. (Master of Science): Offered in Mathematics. Mostly requires B.Sc. in Mathematics or related field.
