TMAE Society’s College of Education in Gangavati erupted in the year 1980 to stand as one of the significant teacher training college of the Gangavati city in the state of Karnataka. This is a co-educational institution, recognised by the Vijayanagara Sri Krishnadevaraya University, Bellary and affiliated to NAAC and recognised by NCTE of Government of India. Located on a limited area of about 1.15 acres, the college provides educational degree programme – B. Ed with a total population of 198 students. This establishment is staffed with 5 full-time faculty members, and therefore enrolling the students in a positive student-teacher ratio as well as providing quality teaching.

TMAE Society’s College of Education is affiliated with Vijayanagara Sri Krishnadevaraya University, Bellary. TMAE Society’s College of Education has developed several facilities that would contribute to the improvement of the students learning experience. Spread over a total area of 1560 sq ft, the library and Information Centre contains over 13660 books in its collection comprising of textbooks, reference aids and books, project works etc. It also subscribe over 56 national and international journals for the varying interest of student and staff. The library exists with SOUL status and the management of books and other resources is carried out through this software. Besides, the college has well equipped and spacious science and Mathematics resource centers both covering more than 600sq ft and faculty with discovering and teaching techniques that enable the students to build their practical knowledge. There is also a large facility to host educational activities, an assembly hall, play ground for sports activities, separate hostels for boys and girls with priority given to students from the rural settings.

College of Education of TMAE Society is primarily known for teacher education with only one full time course named Bachelor of Education (B.Ed). This programme has an approved capacity of 100 students in each year of study to ensure that the institution maintains quality in educating competent personnel to satisfy the demand of skilled educators all over the world within the two years’ programme. The B.Ed course is thus formulated to meet the requisite learning needs of the participants to prepare them as future teachers effectively.

The admission criterion to TMAE Society’s College of Education is applicants Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) and or the marks scored in the qualifying and or the entrance examination. We follow the admission policy of admission Date and guidelines of the state government of Karnataka and Vijayanagara Sri Krishnadevaraya University. One of the key evidence of the institution’s commitment to quality education involves upgrading its quality stock by joining the National Assessment and Accreditation Council-NAAC.
