TRC Mahavidyalaya, Department of Pharmacy, Barabanki was established in 2017. As such, it is a relatively young institution in pharmacy education within the Indian state of Uttar Pradesh. Since the institution is approved by the Pharmacy Council of India and the All India Council for Technical Education, it must follow national standards. There are 15 faculty members at TRC Mahavidyalaya, which offers specialised pharmacy education, both in diploma and degree programmes.

The applicants for the D.Pharma program are required to have completed their 10+2 education, specifically with the core subjects of Physics, Chemistry, and Biology/Mathematics. Candidates for B.Pharma program must qualify the 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology/Mathematics from any recognized board. Although the minimum aggregate score may be between 50 and 55%, confirmation should be made on exact percentages with the institute.

Being an AICTE approved institution, TRC Mahavidyalaya is entitled to consider students through centralized admission process for pharmacy programs within the state of Uttar Pradesh. This, however, might involve consideration of scores of the students through state level or national level pharmacy entrance exams.   • Passport-sized photographs

3. The finished application form is submitted, together with all supporting documents, either online via the institute's portal or in person at the admission office.

4. Pay the prescribed application fees in the manner specified by the institute — the application form shall state the amount of the fee and modes of payment.

5. If selected, shortlisted candidates need to take up an entrance examination as conducted by the institute or continue further in the counseling process.

6. Final selection is highly likely on the basis of a few rounds conducted by the institute along with academic performance and to some extent on entrance exam scores (if applicable).

7. Date and time of offer of admission to selected candidates, following the completion of all admission formalities including fee payment and document verification, are as per the schedule by the institute.

Degree wise Admission Process

  • D.Pharma: The Diploma in Pharmacy course has an intake capacity of 60 students in TRC Mahavidyalaya. Admission to this program is likely based on the score in the 10+2 examination with a major focus on the scores obtained in Physics, Chemistry, and Biology/Mathematics. Besides, the institute may conduct its own entrance test or accept students based on relevant pharmacy entrance exams scores.

  • B.Pharma: The Bachelor of Pharmacy also admits a number of 60 students. Therefore, for B.Pharma admissions, TRC Mahavidyalaya might consider the candidate's 10+2 marks, focusing mainly on performance in Physics, Chemistry, and Biology/Mathematics. In addition, the institution may consider scores from pharmacy entrance examinations or conduct its own test. The four-year program of B.Pharma is designed keeping in mind the students who aspire to hold higher positions in the pharmacy field.
