Doctor of Philosophy Ph.D. program in Computer Applications shall be for a minimum duration of three years, including coursework, and a maximum of six years. Extension beyond the above limits will be governed by the relevant clauses as stipulated in the Statute/Ordinance of the individual Institution concerned offered by Chandigarh University, Chandigarh.

The aim of this PhD program is to provide research training in a manner that fosters the development of independent research skills in candidates. The course enables students to advance themselves in their career in computing and information technology. It offers flexibility in the choice of topic of research so it may be closely aligned with students' professional careers.
