ApplyThe University Institute of Technology Rajiv Gandhi Proudyogiki Vishwavidyalay, Bhopal was established in the year 1986, as the Government Engineering College (GEC), Bhopal. In 1998 the Government of Madhya Pradesh declared this Institute autonomous and named it as Bhopal Engineering College. This Institute was renamed University Institute of Technology-RGPV (the Technological University of the State of Madhya Pradesh) in 2002. It is currently known as University Institute of Technology-RGPV, Bhopal or UIT-RGPV. The Institute offers undergraduate and postgraduate courses in engineering and technology and they are approved by AICTE.
Location: The institution is situated near Gandhi Nagar on the outskirts of the city, about 3 k.m. from the airport on the Bhopal bypass road. The campus is spread on a contiguous 241.14 acres. The nearest railway station is Bhopal Junction, which is about 11 km from the UIT. Students can also avail the facility of the bus, as the nearest bus depot is 14 km from the Institute.

Some buildings are new , but some are very old , need to repair them , like building of mechanical and cs engineering are new , but building of electronics and workshop is old . But there is new building called KRS (knowledge research centre) is new building and there is computer lab for students
My College Infrastructure is really good but always there is some contruction happens but all the facilities like hostels ,classrooms canteen, Stationary shops, ATM, General store ,Labs ,Resting Area , Garden, Playground, Sports Complex are available and also these are maintained time to time.
Our college has decent infrastructure .college is equipped with all labs. All the computers are i7 8 gen .Classroom condition is not so good desks are also not so good.Toilets are not hygienic.classrooms don't have digital boards. All class are taught in blackboard.aour college have a good central library which have almost every kind of books.it also have a e Library accessible to rgpvians using enrollment number. There a KRC Which have computer system for self study .

If you have completed your Diploma in CSE (computer Science and Engineering ) then you are eligible for B.tech Lateral Entry Admission in various B.Tech Colleges. Engineering Colleges take admission in Lateral courses on the basis of merit in entrance exam or on the basis of marks obtained in Diploma or equivalent course
Further, to get lateral entry admission to 2nd year B.Tech Course, you have to give an entrance exam known as Diploma Common Entrance Test (DCET). The entrance test is a gateway for admissions to 2 nd year undergraduate engineering programmes (BTech) and 1 st year undergraduate architecture programmes (BArch) offered under the lateral entry scheme. The exam is conducted in the pen-paper or offline format.
Furthermore, For BTech lateral entry admissions, students must have scored a minimum of 60% aggregate marks in a 3-year diploma (Engineering – any stream) after the Class 10 board exam . Students who have pursued a 3-year diploma after class 12 board exams are also eligible for admission to the BTech course through lateral entry.
