One of the affiliated colleges for the study of Unani medicine is Uttaranchal Unani Medical College and Hospital, located in Haridwar, Uttarakhand. It offers a focused learning environment with 31 faculty members to students pursuing Unani medical education.

The prime course is  Bachelor of Unani Medicine and Surgery, which is a six-year full-time comprehensive course with an approved intake of 60 students. The programme is aimed to provide in-depth knowledge and practical skills in Unani medicine to the students. The institution also offers a Diploma in Unani Pharmacy, a two-year full-time course with an emphasis on the pharmaceutical aspects of Unani medicine. The courses are so designed that the students, after passing through this system, may have a strong hold on the basics of this traditional system of medicine, which will enable them for a prosperous career in the field.

d Hospital admission for the course in BUMS are conducted in the college based on a national-level exam called the NEET-UG, which is compulsorily attended by all aspirants of medical programmes across the country. This helps the students to meet up with the national standards prescribed for medical education.
