Vaageswari Engineering College is one of the famous professional colleges located in Karimnagar and was started in the year of 2005. The college is situated in Karimnagar, Telangana with an area of 40 acres providing harmonised atmosphere for the growth of the student. VEC is an affiliated college recognised by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) which promotes quality education in fields of engineering. A total of 1,989 students and faculty of 189, the college with good student-teacher ratio. VEC provides 17 courses in 5 degree programmes, out of which few major specialisations are Electronics and communication engineering, computer science and engineering, Electrical and electronics engineering.

Vaageswari Engineering College has numerous amenities to cater to students’ needs in their academic as well as personal lives. This important tool in enlarging knowledge, the library, boasts of a collection of over 52,600 volumes of text, reference and national and international journals in various fields of knowledge. It remains accessible to students and staff from 8: 30 AM to 5:00 PM. In the same way, the girls’ hostel for female students is well equipped to accommodate one hundred and five students and contains reading rooms, TV rooms and internet services. Initially, at undergraduate level VEC provides the following programmes: B.Tech Electronics & Communication Engineering, Computer Science and Engineering, Electrical & Electronics Engineering, Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning. For the postgraduate levels, the college has MBA, MCA and different specialisation of M.Tech stream comprising CAD CAM, Computer Science and Engineering, VLSI & Embedded systems, Electronics & Communication, Power Electronics, and M.Tech in Power Systems & Control. Besides, the college offers diploma courses in Civil, Electrical and Electronics, Electronics and Communication and Mechanical engineering.

The admission system at Vaageswari Engineering College is mainly of entrance examinations. For B.Tech, admissions are based on the rank obtained for the Telangana State Engineering, Agriculture & Medical Common Entrance Test for the Telangana State Council of Higher Education known as TSEAMCET. Three year diploma holders can also apply for admission through Telangana State Engineering Common Entrance Test (TS ECET). For some programmes, applicants are also allowed to take the scores from the Telangana Integrated Common Entrance Test known as TSICET.
